If you ran a service(as I do) and wanted to connect to your minions from anywhere, what is the cheapest and most effective conference call/web broadcast available? I am looking into skype but haven't found anything yet, could anyone(Tim possibly?)help me out w/this. This would also be quite helpful for the Muse Creator looking to create the granddaddy of them all...Information sharing for profit!
Thanks in advance,

Ok Hostel, what you didn't make clear in your post is WHO did you want this to be cheap for? You or your minions?

If the answer is you, then a service like FreeConferenceCall is what you are looking for... Free for you to use and set up, but std. long distance phone rates apply for you and the Minions. See this site for details:

http://www.freeconferencecall.com/prodfreeconferencecall.asp

If you want to keep the minions happy and not ask them to make a long distance call, then you need something like Simpletollfree or Intercall or a dozen other firms out there that provide this service. You and everyone else calls into a toll free number and can talk away to your hearts delight, but then someone (you) has to pay the bill. Rates run from 6 cents per min, per line up to 25 cents per min, per line. This would be one of those times where it WOULD PAY (in savings) to run efficient conference calls.

I use Intercall
http://www.intercall.com/

but after a quick search

http://www.simpletollfree.com/

Seems to be cheaper.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Luv2Trvl, great info you shared.
I am looking for cheap communication all around.
Conference call/web chat/web cam conferencing.
If anyone knows of other inexpensive ways to communicate to large groups I would be very much interested.
thanks in advance,

Just sign up for www.gotomeeting.com for their free 30 day trial. You can do a webinar, or just use their conference call function. It is free, and if you cancel and sign up for another account in 30 days, it is free indefinitely. I don't do that, as I find a lot of value in the service and have signed up and use it regularly. But I know folks who just sign up and cancel every 30 days...
