I am having difficulty describing accurately what I want: when I look at various sites selling electronic and hard copy information products, they often have the same style image of the completed manual, sometimes surrounded by the DVD's. I've noticed all these images are identical apart from the text/ font/ colours of the ebook in question. It looks like there is a piece of software that will take your ebook/ design and make a 3d image of it for use of your site.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

TIA

FG

Or you have the DIY option http://www.photoshopsession.com/tutorials/howto-create-ebook-cover.html

yes- that's the sort of thing I was thinking of. Its a pretty tall order to create representations of CD's and ringbinders etc with photoshop, too!

A decent freelancer who knows *any* 3d application should be able to run something like this off for you at a low cost. I'd bet it would be less than the amount you'd earn in the time it took to learn it in Photoshop / Gimp. Personally, if doing it myself, I'd run it up in Blender 3D (http://blender.org), but that's an app you definitely won't learn overnight (although this job would be pretty simple).

I was thinking the same thing, I almost fell for this http://www.coveractionpro.com/

I thought it seemed kinda expensive, allthou the pictures look nice
I am sure there must be som cheaper software out there.

But I think I can manage with liam's link, thanks, liam!

Wow, that was quite an impressive product actually. Gives me all kinds of ideas for potential muses... :D
