View Full Version : Programmer/developer recommendations?

I'm looking to build a squeeze page for a test site. The page will collect names, e-mail addresses, cell phone numbers, and zip codes from visitors, and file the data by zip code on the back-end. My current US-based developers do great work, but they are overkill for a test site like this. Just looking to get this up inexpensively, so I can gauge e-mail/cell phone acquisition costs to see if an idea is feasible.

I ran this by an SEM vendor of mine in Thailand who said he knows some programmers there, but with the craziness going on there now, I don't know if I'll hear back from him on this. I figured I'd run this by the board and see if anyone had any recommendations. If not, I'll post it on Elance, but thought I'd check here first.

Thanks,

Dave

I wouldn't worry to much about the database. I would do it in steps. First I would do a squeeze page just to capture e-mails and then once I see that I got an adequate amount of e-mails and the site seems to convert then I would work on the rest of the database.

It will be much faster if you just start with e-mails.

Do you have an AWeber account for your mailing lists? AWeber (and I'm sure the other major providers too like MailChimp & Constant Contact) provides the ability to collect emails and also add your own custom fields that subscribers need to enter in the form. Just copy-paste your form to a WordPress page or Weebly page or whatever. Easy! :)

Thanks for the responses.

Seth, I had considered that idea.

Cody, I'll have to check out Aweber.
