Minimum quantity to order

Dear Friends,

I have stumbled on a niche product that is not available on eBay. I found out a website (only one ) which is selling exactly the same product in USA with 6X markup. But I still see lot of potential. Infact while discussing with my friend we found out another product that doesn't exist at all and can be combined with our original idea. Now here is the problem

(1) Alibaba contacts for manufacturers in China do not look legit to me.
(2) They are charging really high for what I think the price should be. May be they are not manufacturers and are just plain middle man making money. How do I verify that.
(3) Manufacturers (middle man) are asking for minimum 300 pieces which makes my initial investment to minimum $12000.

Did you face the same problem. Any suggestions.

Instead of manufacturing, see if the one place that sells it has an affiliate marketing program. Instead of buying and selling the product, market it for a commission.

Hi ClearIdentity,

Let us know what you decide to do. I was also looking at something on the Alibaba website. It looks like some of the companies have been third party verified, I was narrowing my search down with that in mind.
