"As he rotated 360 degress through the air, the deafening noise turnned to silence. Dale Begg-Smith executed the backflip perfectly - skis crossed in an X over his head - and landed in the record books as he slid across the finish" - 4HWW p24

The media-shy Begg-Smith may not be a shining example of lifestyle design. There are significant questions about the business practices his internet advertising company used to build its fortune:

The ski dream funded by a spam fortune (http://www.theage.com.au/news/sport/the-ski-dream-funded-by-a-spam-fortune/2006/02/13/1139679533728.html)
Dale Begg-Smith & AdsCPM: A Spyware low life Criminal Distributor wins an Olympic Gold Medal for Australia (http://www.stopscum.com/dale-begg-smith-adscpm-a-spyware-low-life-criminal-distributor-wins-an-olympic-gold-medal-for-australia/)
Asterisk on pop-up mogul's gold (http://spamkings.oreilly.com/archives/2006/02/asterisk_on_popup_moguls_gold.html)

It frustrates me to see that Begg-Smith's questionable activities are being held up as an example of how to "rewrite the rules".

And tuna fish is a bad example of a fish you should eat 3x a week.

It contains a lot of mercury.

Completely useless words. Tim never worked a 4 hour work week in his life, but his book is still awesome. No one ever said to follow Begg-Smith's example. The fact remains however that he did it.

Actually, when you use someone as an example of your philosophy, that's exactly what you're doing. And the fact that he "did it" hardly means that he's a role model worth following.
