1) What do you guys think about creating a very cheap cell phone accessory? It would cost maybe $3-5, but might sell well. (A dollar profit on each perhaps.) Note that my idea has never been done before. I guarantee that.
And if it is feasible, can you link me to resources I could use, or explain the steps I'll need to take? (I haven't read the book in a few months, and am waiting for my brother to ship it back to me.)
2) What do you guys think about very simple computer/iPhone apps as muses?

You're ideas are too vague to illicit any type of meaningful discussion. It seems like you're grasping at straws here and need to wait until you get your book back and reread it. You're missing fundamental steps on muse creation, not to mention the resources you are requesting.

LeeC is right about a number of points:
- You are creating products, not finding a niche market. Reverse this and start over.
- You are creating low-level ideas that engender low-level strategies - none of your ideas scale. Do the 'dreamlining' exercise, and figure out how much you want per year (to start with, for the next few years), then find a market that can support this, then build a product.
- Your job as a 'muse creator' is 20% about creating a product and 80% about identifying a market, connecting with it (them), and marketing to it.

The product is for a niche market. I assure you that. I could pm you if you'd that would help.

As products they clearly work as there are plenty of people out there selling them and making money from them.
The cell phone accessory one is probably the most problematic. Cellphones change a lot - and your accessory may end up being incorporated in the next generation or if it has wide appeal being copied by the Chinese and flogged for a quid incl delivery on ebay.
iPhone apps seems to be a well trodden path to making a bit of extra cash on the side for programmers as are shareware type apps. Getting the features and which ones you get in a free version (if any) right seems to be critical to success. Include too many and nobody registers - too few and no-one downloads it to try it. Pitfalls obviously include getting it approved by the Apple apps store people if developing for iphone.
So both feasible if you have the right market. I'm afraid I can't help in terms of getting going on it.
