Hi,
I am 27 and have noticed that my life has no real purpose and I have no real goals or ambitions. I don't want to waste my life so I have decided to restart the 4HWW.
Unfortunately, I do not have the book with me but I am becoming motivated just watching some of Tim's videos on his blog.
How do you go about creating a business idea, a muse? I really have no idea. I am currently suffering from depression and seem to have become numb to the world - I don't know what I really enjoy anymore or what to do.
I like:
-Music - don't play an instruement (meant to learn guitar but didn't)
-I weight lift but need to get back into
-I watch films online and love all movies
-I drive but only as a way to get a to b not for enjoyment
-I internet surf all the time
-I plan and plan but never do anything, never put any plans into action
-I am getting into the whole PUA thing more and more
I just don't really have any 'real' hobbies and interests though. I don't know what I love so how can I create a business that I will enjoy and put time and effort into it, if I don't know myself.
Can someone please offer me some assistance as to how I can use my problem-solving and creative thinking to discover my muse and business idea? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey Bod - Welcome to the forums. You really need to take a step back and evaluate yourself. Making a muse isn't going to help. Even if successful, you will still have the same problems, just with a bit more money.
Get a copy of Tim's book and re-read it. Focus on the LD sections. Dreamlining, priority setting, and that. There are underlying problems that you need to take care of to join the NR, and nothing a muse can help.
Pick up some motivational books, like Kiyosaki. Get involved with an MLM. You probably will not make money, but being around people who are happy and motivating all the time will do wonders for you. At first you will just have to fake it, but after while that motivation will come from within.
The thing is, that muses are all about failing. You are going to fail 3 or 4 of them before hitting it. No one who has ever been on these forums ever made it on their first muse. Not a single person. I still am in contact with most who 'graduated' and have some modicum of success, and they all say the same thing. In your case a failure could be monumental. You need to grow some thicker skin through LD, and get going.
You say you are suffering from depression. From my understanding of English that can range from feeling a bit down to actually being in need of treatment by a specialised doctor supported with medication. If you lean towards the last, go see your family doctor and talk to him. Let him help you on the way.
If you lean towards the first it seems that your life is "just" empty and you have no tools to use to fill it.
Filling your life is something that a muse will never fix. Kam is right, you have to start with a foundation.
It seems to mee that you feel you do not matter. Surfing the web is just passing time, as is watching movies.
Stop.
Go add value to other peoples lives. Do volunteer work at a centre for homeless or disabled or elderly people. There are loads of place where it is actually easy to make a difference. You will add value to other people's lives, enriching your own in the process.
Adding value, in any form and to anything is at the core of hapiness.
Good luck!

I think you have some excellent advice from kamakiri and Sven. I especially like the volunteering idea!
I recommend that before you pick up the 4HWW again you read Jack Canfield's The Success Principles and Dr. Shad Helmstetter's Who are You Really and What Do You Want? Get a library card in you don't have the $$$. Get in touch with you first and then withyour professional life.
Most importantly - congratulate yourself! You have accomplished two important successes - 1. You have recognized that you want to change your life and 2. You have reached out for help. That's huge! A lot of people only wallow in their despair and never do anything about it. You are taking action and that's fantastic. Now build on that momentum and I think you will be wonderfully amazed this time next year!
Good Luck!

Hey Bob.
You've gotten some great advice.
Here's mine:
If you're into weights, lift! Just make yourself do it. Get the blood flowing. You can't focus on making your body amazing and be depressed at the same time. I just started learning about HIT and I'm having a blast developing my new training plan... re-read Tim's Geek to Freak blog post (http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2007/04/29/from-geek-to-freak-how-i-gained-34-lbs-of-muscle-in-4-weeks/).
PUA: Love it. Changed my life. Do you have a copy of the DVD "Transformations" from RSD? Highly recommend it. I put on Tyler's section while I'm working and just listen. He's been through some tough stuff and come out one very amazing dude... If you don't have it/can't afford it there's this thing I've heard of called...um...Bit Torrent..? Wink. Furthermore, find a lair in your area and go out with some guys. Focus on just having fun.
"I internet surf all the time" Stop. Allow yourself 10 minutes, twice a day unless you're working on your muse and then stay very focused and intentional. It rots the brain. We need to interact with people and do physical things. There are a million better things to do like meditation or just go to the mall or grocery store or for a walk...
A couple of things from Tim's book: Don't listen to or read the news. Make a playlist of your most favorite tunes (try to make them positive and upbeat. No death metal).
Here's a very cool post from Steve Pavlina (http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/02/how-to-have-a-more-focused-day/) that works very well for us 4HWW'ers.
Hope that helps. PM me if you want to discuss any of this stuff.
