Looking for feedback on logo draft for new blog

I agree with Marcie. And I think I might make the hat bigger and have the horn coming out of the side of it. There's something slightly odd about how it's sitting at the moment.

And just checking (and being really thick) - the term shadow stock seems to have a few different definitions. Is your usage a commonly used one?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm going to cut and paste your comments about the logo on my blog, if you don't mind, because I know my designer will be reading the comments there.

Officer Dibble, by "shadow stocks" I'm just referring to obscure, not-widely followed ones. I'm using it as a descriptive term, not a technical one. Plus, it makes for a good, short, easy-to-spell, alliterative, domain name. I don't think many people will be confused by the definition you linked to, because that is, as far as I am aware, not a widely-used one. For example, Investopedia doesn't list it.
