Hi Everyone,

Took some time away from the forum. So much time I had to re-register because I forgot my old user info! When I was here before I was trying to figure out a muse and the first ideas just werent working. Thats been over a year or so.

My second muse has taken a lot of work but it has grown into something very enjoyable for me. The key advice I would give someone is to create a muse not so much for money but let it grow out of something you have come to enjoy.

I love to Trikke! So, I turned it into something more. This is what I did and this is what I have worked hardest to build. Things are going well. After a year I am nearing the point of letting it do much of what it needs to do with less input and time from me. This means that what I really enjoy doing---trikking ---will take up more of my time as I've established a good business model and web presence. It becomes Trikking gravy now! It is not a brick and mortar and exists online and through local customer contact. Because I don't run a physical store I find that times I spend with physical customers soooooo enjoyable because all of this is very low overhead. Online customers get excellent service as well. I'm not worried about money for rent and utilities, and I'm not sitting in a store all day. I am fairly unrestricted. That translates to excellent customer service! The joy that I feel for our product being a Trikke-addict is typically shared by customers so this means great interaction! If a purchase comes it's great if not, my life doesnt end. This product has a great niche market (see pg 147 step 1), I've never used PPC, I have built our following and customer contact mainly through social media, and by getting out there and riding Trikkes--which is what I was doing anyway!

I have little desire to be a ghost in the machine, where I don't interact and ride with other Trikkers. Check our videos to see how we roll! This journey has allowed me to stay connected yet learn so much about this type of business model. When I see the next opportunity come along I will be even more ready!

I'm seeking more scalable results but I see them coming. I know that retailing a product is not the ideal method for 4HWW, but my model is clean and comfortable for me. Wholesale is very good for us. How does it work? See pg 141 of 4HWW to see a very similar online customer sales interaction for me.

I've learned immeasurable things from this past year! WoW!

I'll be blogging on some of these things next week at http://www.spencerhopedavis.com

In the meantime, here's my baby...here's my muse!

Congratulations!

Just checked your site and watched the video: That looks like so much fun! My girlfriend looking over my shoulder likes trikke-ing too, at least from the looks of it.

Actually, it is very ideal. The book is all about improving your quality of life, however you measure that. It sounds to me like you've done an awesome job of that. I only hope I'll have as much success.

As a side note: Reliegh is b-e-a-utiful. I loved the free museums. I've been thinking of moving there. How is the public transportation there? (legally blind dude needs a way to get around). Weather is nice here in phoenix, but the public transit blows more chunks than a room full of people with the flu.

Wow, I am definitely envious! I am hoping that I can post a similar story a year from now about my personal muse (something real estate related is my interest). Thanks for sharing.
