Hey all,

I'm about to test an online hiking/camping safety guide and video series that will teach readers techniques they can use to stay safe and maximize their enjoyment of the wilderness. The product has not been developed yet. I want to make sure there is a market for paying customers in this niche first, and I'm going backpacking in a week and will be filming the video series during that time if the product tests well.

Before anybody states the obvious: No, I don't have aweber set up on the site yet. I'd like to get your criticisms first so I can claim a $1 free month at aweber right before I put up my campaign. Also, the sales copy isn't perfect but if you guys have any general advice on the flow of the document, I'd really appreciate it.

Also, does anybody know how I can make the main page not in blog post form with wordpress? I was able to create the order and about us pages without a blog post. I just hate how the first page has the "posted by admin on blah blah blah date" and the comments section on the bottom. I know there has to be a way to remove this.

The product is called Face the Wild and you can check it out here (http://www.facethewild.com).

Thanks in advance you guys!

My feel about the web site is that it is a bit plain. The color scheme is all right and related to your field of expertise, however, it lacks of pictures and makes it a bit hard to read.

For the sale pitch, the content is good, but for me the writing is a bit too small : different font sizes could help to make the message more clear and maybe to emphasize some points compared to others.

Just another quick question : you haven't got the product developped yet, so how did you get the testimonials ??

By the way, the testimonial part is a good one.

I hope it helps,

cheers

Just a short note, because you especially asked about the flow.

I can not stand texts that feel like random phrases are put in bold.

Right now, that is what you are doing.
