I am new here and just finished the book and the worksheets. I have already begun firing customers and burning their money. I came across this book looking for a life. To day I only worked 3 hours and have no freaking clue as to what I am going to do. My time has liberated but I have forgotten what It was like to have a life and fun.
Recap- I have more time than money, as i shift away from project based work to monthly recurring income stuff, what ever that will be. Any Ideas on how to get back to being a kid again.
-Oh I went to the health club during the day and tried to make friends with some old people and gain some elder wisdom. I made some friends ,so I will be back, but then what.:confused:

Good going!

Accept that there is a void. Realise that you have the room to do what you realy enjoy. Learn new stuff.

I found that the stuff I enjoy is still sort of work related. I also have a boat that I can take out whenever I want. (Well, also because taking out the boat is promoting the product, that helps)

But do not try to fill the void quickly, give it time, let it grow.

Start by filling it with regular activities that are healthy / beneficial to you - ie use the time to create good habits. Being bored sucks - you want to keep being busy.

For me, I'm focusing on a 1 hour run each morning, a 30 minute German lesson, a healthy breakfast + plenty of water and helping the kids get ready before I start work at 9 or 10.

Never had time for any of that stuff before I started the elimination process.

Ahh this is the fun part

I guess this could trigger a few ideas (http://www.google.com/search?complete=1&hl=en&q=100+things+to+do+before+you+die&aq=0&oq=100+things+&aqi=g10)

I find travel pretty exciting, and it fills my time well. I'm headed to London for a few days just to hang out and explore, then down to Cyprus because I hear the beaches are nice, and after that who knows, maybe Egypt, or somewhere else in Europe. I also enjoy learning new skills. Spent 5 days learning to kiteboard in Maui. Got scuba certified. Thinking about helicopter lessons. Reading is always good.

Curious what you come up with.

Go to Burning Man. I will be at 3:00 and Adapt street, with luck I will know where Tim is camping by the end of next week. If you find me there your first PBR is on me.

Well, on the being bored part...

I think that it is good to be bored every now and then. It allows you to have your thoughts wander of in to areas they normally do not go which is VERY GOOD for creativity.

But it should never lead to having a boring life, then there is something wrong!

Some people never need to be bored to keep creativity up though. Just don't be afraid to be bored every now and then.

Sounds like you are having a good time.

Be careful getting addicting to flying anything. It will raise your TMI drastically if you really decide you enjoy it.

I have never done any flying in helicopters, but I here its more expensive than small planes.

I can't wait till i get some income going and can get back to flying.
