View Full Version : Muse Testing Day 1

(I searched for related posts, and I didn't find my answer.)

Hey, guys. I have a pretty solid muse, I think. The products can be drop-shipped, and the concept is a high-demand niche that is a scaled-down version of a highly successful and popular concept.

So because it's a sales concept of multiple products that makes the money, and not a single product, my keyword testing is spread out. I have had AdWords up for a day, and I've gotten only 2 clicks--on the same keyword.

There's also the possibility that I might have done something wrong. I came up with about 100 keywords that I found with the keyword tool, but it was after I entered "$.20" as my target. I noticed that some of those keywords yielded amounts over $1.00 in earlier searches. Does anyone have advice about that?

I also split up those 100 keywords into 5 groups. Does that hinder my testing, or is there enough activity (over 5,000 impressions today) to indicate that it's not my keyword selection? Maybe I need to enter a higher bid cap?

Thanks for your help. I'm really excited about my concept, and I offer a pretty awesome guarantee--and I just need it to test well (that is...accurately--I don't mean it as going through the motions), then I'm ready to go full-throttle.

I'm in the same boat, also have a great niche and site up, I did a few days of Adwords and only had one mailing list sign up. Maybe I don't have the right keywords. I think I need to switch them to things like 'film schools' instead of keywords in the realm of 'camera shopping' because I have changed the marketing from more of an educational resource than a shopping guide.

How do you come up with keywords, you stand in the shoes and mind of your customer and market right?

No guesswork needed. The data's all out there to make decisions.
