Hi Guys, Yes I'm new and I'll get straight to the point. I've read the four hour work week and thoroughly enjoyed it and will read it again. It had heaps of information...and maybe that's my problem.....the amount of information has now just stupified me into taking the next step. I work part-time and would like to have a sideline just so I can afford the nice things in life and pay the bills at the same time. I guess what I would like to know is how others have found their muse, and a rough guide of how they went about putting it into work. I can read till the cows come home, but unless I can actually do things manually or follow a guide, I pretty much come unstuck. I don't want someone to do it FOR me (although it would be nice :0P) but just need a push in the right direction. Any ideas or information would be very much appreciated. Regards.

Go back and read the book again ignoring everything they say about a muse. LD is far more important to your quality of life. I know that passive income sounds great, but it will solve none of the reasons that led you to purchase the book initially.
Think of it as radical self reliance. Once you have a base, then start to move on with the more difficult parts of the book. Don't put the carriage before the horse.

Thanks for taking the time to respond :) By LD do you mean Life Design? And yes, I think I'll actually do the dreamline thing first...then move on. One of my faults is a lack of patience. I actually like working....crazy I know, but would prefer if my funds from working went to fun and not bills (which is where the passive income kicks in....) Okay, so back to square one and redo with patience.....thanks again.

What does your ideal day look like? What do you do, who do you see? Are you quiet, are you socializing? Have favorite hobbies, interests, good at something, like doing ? One problem I had with the book (I am a mother) is that I thought Tim had a lot of alpha male about him, so his choices of activities to fill his time reminded me of my own sons. Think about what you like, or like to do, and maybe that will give you some ideas. Here is one little example: I love to garden and I can't stand to throw plants away, even those that take over in my garden. So, I started selling them on ebay. I took one picture and sold the plants over and over and over again, when one sold, I would just dig it up, pop it into an envelope and send it off. One value added was mine were "garden grown", dug up that day and sent to the customer. I didn't really want the business but I did want to make myself go out into the garden every day, instead of working all the time. Having sold a plant or 20 or 50, forced me to go get them. I now have a young gardener and will probably help him start this business using my land. My products appeared whether I wanted them to or not. Calm down, don't worry, this will be fun.

Thank you Pinc.me...you brought up some good points about Tim's activities being alpha male :0). I also like your method of thinking....the thing is I think (me too being a Mum) I've got so lost in everyone else's muse's that I actually don't know what mine is...so the simple questions you asked at the beginning of your reply were excellant...I guess it's finding the time to sit down and actually think about myself that is the immediate issue. Thank you again!
