Hello everyone, after spending a good 15 hours on learning how to make a sales test page using MS PAINT and DREAM WEAVER... LOL!!! I have finally put together a test page. But I am running into problems already.

Edit: Url Taken down for sensitivity to statistics on ad campaign

I just started my adwords campaign and I have 371 impressions and not one consumer clicked through. My understanding was to go cheap and deep. So I chose adwords that had an avg cpc of .05 never going over it with a maximum bid of .10 and a daily budget of $10. Total words to date is 735, I am trying to increase it. Am I Doing something wrong?

Sample Ad:
Relieve Stress
Stress Relief Supplement
A Natural Way to Find Relief

Also, I would love to hear your opinions on my sales page. Things I can do to modify it and make it better. I am using google analytics and aweber. Please give me a real deal criticism, I am an adult and I can take it ;). I'll do what ever it takes to make sure this things is running an optimum efficiency, testing is the deal breaker here. I am looking forward to some of the opinions here, especially from certain members of the community I have been watching for a while.

Thank you, with the utmost sincerity gratitude

Edit: Url Taken down for sensitivity to statistics on ad campaign
I thought that have sub folders like alivio.com/alivio/alivio.html made it sound cheese

I updated the checkout page so that users don't have to put in too much personal information, now all they have to do is put in their name and email and I can track them through "submissions" rather than "subscriptions"

Congrats on getting your site up and beginning testing. You have made it further than 90% of the members in this forum.

I will preface my criticism by saying that you need thick skin to do this. LD is a challenging road that most people fail miserably at. Hope everyone rips you apart and do not let it derail you. It is the people who give you flowery praise and PMA who you need to avoid. You can look for complements in Rio, but today you want criticism. Having your flaws exposed is a painful way to learn, but you also gain the most benefit.

Here is what you asked for:

I opened the link in Google Chrome, and it looks plain. Bold is not a font. The first impression leaves no impression at all. You know you have no description of your product there?

Alívio™ is a unique blend of all-natural mood enhancing and stress relieving ingredients.

Alívio™ is nature's solution to stress and anxiety that enhances mood and creates a positive mental outlook with a peace of mind.

The dual-action formula is not addictive or habit-forming, and has no side effects!

This is not a description. It could be a tea, a drink, or even a suppository. We can glean from the pic that it is probably a pill of some sort, but do not give people credit for that. Write it out in plain English.

Why would you start with a money back guarantee in pole position? The first though was, "Could the product be so crappy that it wouldn't sell without a guarantee?" That is a slight sails point, but easily should be at the bottom of the page, or on a different page entirely.

The first impression is a not really enticing USP, a product guarantee, a description of investment banking, mood enhancement, creates PMA, and ends with the kicker of "No side effects"? Is any of that more important that a product description? Some of it is even detrimental to your message? A sort of, "I hadn't though about side effects until you mentioned it..."

You aren't selling an ebook, or information products. Do not try to sell your product like one. Your index page needs to be short and sweet.

A testimonial is great, but wasting valuable space with a line like "Investment banking is a demanding profession filled with high-pressure deadlines and long hours. All-nighters and stressful situations are commonplace"? Not only do I not care a bit about Kevin Park, I am not a banker, and this guy needs a title 3 lines long? Wasting space and taking eyes away from your goal of actually selling the product.

The line on the left is fluff. Get rid of it. If you have something to say, say it in a font that doesn't need a magnifying glass to be read.

Dump the tm after every mention of the product. It is obnoxious, pretentious, and breaks up the page.

Scrolling down, I can only scratch my head. Who in their right mind would buy a product that is endorsed by Jim Carrey? Even though you clearly wrote that he supports the benefits of mood supplements, you play it off like he is supporting you. When I think of comedians and mood enhancement, valium and a bottle of Jack Daniels (ala Animal House) comes to mind. They aren't known for good judgement in that department.

You finish with the same 'information', that really isn't. You need to describe the product before talking further about stress relief. You quote "Natural Feel-Good Pill"? My natural feel good pill is a bottle of wine. It also reminds me of things I saw at Burning Man last year. It sure doesn't inspire me to buy anything from you. What would 99% of the population say if you asked them anywhere if they wanted to try a feel good pill? Mother's little helper? Requiem for a Dream?

Update: 36 hr mark

So far my test sales letter page has been running for 36 hrs

I am now at
68 clicks
159,579 impressions
0.04% CTR
$0.59 Average CPC
$40.02 Total Spent so Far

On my sales page I have
9 Potential Customers who were interested and One sale

At the 16 hour mark I had (at this point I didn't know how to use aweber so I couldn't track how many people were actually interested)

29 Clicks
24,305 impressions
0.12% CTR
$0.56 Average CPC
$16.33 Total Spent

so using the 16 hour mark as a base after revising my site with a little update, I have from 16 to 36 hours 39 Clicks with 9 potential customers who were interested with one sale and a difference of impression of 135,274.

In essence it takes 39 customers to view the sales letter, leading to 9 really interested people to click "try now" to go to the check out page to have only "1" actual sale.

Problem? I lost 8 interested people at the 2nd step who were interested. So I'm thinking maybe the price of the product is to high? or the site looks shady... or.... I'm having a hard time sealing the deal. So maybe I will instead use tier sales system and offer a bonus. A e-book to make the deal more attractive.

72 hour mark

110 Clicks
623,967 impressions
0.02% CTR
$0.58 Average CPC
$63.60 Total Spent for the Day.

Day 3, I have over half a million impressions with 110 clicks. MY CTR is 0.02% and my budget was lower than it was the previous day.

I have 0 Potential Sales and 0 Sales for the Day

My motivation is still strong despite the set backs. I know tim and the forum believe in informational products and try stem away from real products. Since the initial cost is low but the net profit is high. I can't explain it. I BELIEVE in this product and I KNOW its going to work. I just haven't found the method yet. I've already thought of what I am going to do to increase this. I studied all tim's websites as in sales letter and even his product brain quicken. But I come to finally realize his method is two years ago and has limits. Its time I jump on the train of NET 2.0. I realize my faults. I am trying to sell the product, not the feeling. This is something I've learn scourging through the post.

As for update on my website. I added a good FAQ and facts about the company. To build a credibility factor. If someone is going to take my product that is digestible, they want to know a little more about where the product is manufactured, ingredients, etc. The pain that TIM told me a few years ago in person.

WIP is building a squeeze page that gives a good detailed story to evoke a connection with the customer through emotion. Then after the story is told, the customer (if interested) can click "learn more" or "find out how" which will then proceed to my sales letter. I finally learned that I wasn't controlling "their frame of mind" or "moment in time", so when they got to the page each person had their own perspective ( "oh this site is cheesy", "yeah this site looks like a sham". "YEah no way that product will work"). I can't control or force their option to buy, but I can control their frame of mind or "MIND SET" before they enter my club, my ZEN if you will. I can give them a small excerpt, a story to bring their frame of mind to my level and experience how I feel. So when they enter in my DEN (sales letter), they are at a perspective and frame of mind I want.

I guess you can say this might be a story of show and tell. I hear about kids dieing of starvation in the newspaper or through word of mouth and without a doubt "some" americans being self sufficient as we are only care about american interest and how things are affecting their lives now. For example, When I see that UNICEF commercial, it brings me to tears because I can actually see whats happening, become aware by changing my mind set o frame of mind on to what is going on.

Anyway... enough mind rambling thoughts. I can't wait to start DAY 4 and try this new method.

You need to start split testing your ads, your CTR is pretty low. Such a low CTR is going to give you a low quality score, and drive up your cost per click.

Are your keywords late purchase cycle buyer keywords? Do they have purchase of commercial intent?

Also, turn off the content network for now, if it isn't off already. At this point, you want to keep your audience focused.

A conversion rate of 1:10 is amazing.....anywhere between 1:30 (Great) to 1:200 (Poor, but profitable) is reasonable.

You can PM for more details if you like.
