Has anyone used either Omni Focus, or other digital task manager to help get these done the 4HWW week way?
The thing with task managers is this: It is about USING them. It is not enough to enter data in to a system, you have to move the stuff around, play with the data.
That means that you have to actually make time (and keep making time) to sit down and use them to plan your tasks. If you can do that, the kind of system you use becomes allmost irrelevant.
So try it all out!
I took a quick look at omnifocus and I feel that it may be too good, capable of too much.
Try out some of the cheaper solutions first:
My suggestions:
- Freemind, free mindmapping software. I use it and have a "task manager" as one of the branches of my "projects" mindmap. In the taskmanager branch I have 4 sub-branches, today, tomorrow, soon and wishes/ideas. You can drag items to the other branches easily.
- The Hipster pda which is the cheapest physical one.
- Also, look in to GTD (getting things done)
Task management is more about how you handle task than what you use to handle them.
Good luck!

Hi Sven,
Thanks for the information. I will check out Freemind. FYI, I think Omni is a GTD product.
Thanks again,
John
Yeah, I noticed that too after submitting my reply.
I then did a bit of additional research on freemind and Omni and found that I could do even more with freemind. And Omni indeed offers not that much more than freemind can allready do. So I'd start with freemind and then look at Omni if you feel you need the extras.
