Hey guys,

How's everyone been? I haven't been around for a bit, but it's good to be back on the Forums. To make a long story short, I'm about to begin a new venture as an affiliate where I'll be working from home and being my own boss. I made the mistake of telling some people about it, and of course, all I've met with is mental resistance, that's starting to get to me. Those thoughts such as "Everyone has a boss, why should you be any different?". "It's pretty ambitious to want to do this, but are you being realistic?"... "If you did succeed, do you think you could even handle it?". The rest was fairly easy, though time consuming, and I feel like this is the toughest part. That's why I'd like to ask some of you guys for some help.

For those of you who are either ALREADY successfully Mused, or you work from home, do an affiliate, thing, work for yourself, whatever. I'd like to know what your thoughts are on it, and how you deal with the rest of the world being different, locked in there little 9-5 prisons, and wanting you to join them,... How do you deal with that mental resistance? Does it go away after a while. I'd like some of you to talk about your experience with this, and also feel free to PM me, because I need to begin talking to some people who are in line with me on this a bit more. Any help would be appreciated, I feel like I'm about to succeed in a big way, but have to finally get over this last big hurdle. Thanks very much.

The good news is that it does go away once you start making money. I got laughed at when I told my friends about the crazy shit that I sell online, but when I announced hitting the $1000 per month mark they suddenly thought it was a pretty reasonable idea.

If your muse can make money and doesn't require much time input, who cares what everyone else thinks? Do you need their input or approval in order to be successful?

There is a learning curve to online businesses, most people think they can take their first Idea and turn it into gold. This is not always the case as many of us know.

That being said, the time investment up front can pay dividends in the long run.

I had a friend I told about my marketing project, and he was interested in doing it for some quick cash. I had about an hour long conversation with him giving him the basics. He decided it wasn't going to work out, too much effort up front.

Don't doubt yourself...People will be jealous, and non-believers, just laugh it off.
