Blog Or E-Book?

Since the online e-book market seems to be a fickle one indeed, do you think that having a blog with adsense might actually make you as much as an ebook?

I have a small blog I currently run, but have enough content to either create an ebook or blog in a completely different niche. Just not sure what avenue to pursue.
