I have a hobbyist background in magic. A while back I created my own coin routine. It's based on sleights I've seen elsewhere, but I have not seen it performed the way I do it. I think it's safe to say I invented this.
It's a great effect and it can be performed with any coin without any preperation. People are completely stumped by it if it's performed correctly. I've even had people fall for it even after I told them how I do it.
So, I'm considering creating a "muse" out of this. I would need to create two videos, one where I, or someone else, performs the trick (preferably for some super hot chicks out on the street) and one where the effect is explained. The first would be used to market it, the second is what I sell.
There are two questions I have. Should I try to sell it to pros (up the price), or should I sell it to random people who want to do a trick at parties or so (many more customers)?
Second, how is a thing like this promoted best?
