How to Monetize domain name?

Hi all,

I own a domain name that corresponds to an up and coming south amer. eco-destination, similar to www.CancuuuunHotels.com (made that name up). On my domain the Google searches are at 30K/month (not huge, I know).

How could I Monetize the domain?
Ads?
Info product?
Affiliate with hotels somehow?

At the least I'd like to get a free nights stay out the deal! ha ha. Maybe I can offer independent third party reviews of the various hotels?

The easiest thing would be to park the domain with sedo or similar. You wouldn't have to run anything.

The BEST thing to do would be to develop it as a content site with reviews and ACTUAL good information for people going there. 30k is a real good start and must mean that you already have some good page rank. Analyze the keywords that people are coming to your site for and build up content in those areas.

You could easily affiliate with a travel site like expedia or something and link to specific hotels, vacations, etc. I think they pay 1% on referrals. They might even give you some coupons or promotions to run.

You could also offer someone else to rent it as a redirect, to get extra traffic to their website.
