Part of living life is take a venture and go for it.
From Janaury through June I started my real estate investment company. I am up to 13 buildings and 43 units.
Your book provided me several ideas which I am starting to use slowly.
thanks, Clinton

This might be of interest.. Apologies I just joined forum and will introduce myself properly tomorrow and post my story.
Now aged 35 from Ireland, Live Thailand, Work IT Recruitment into Ireland on VOIP Phone, and email. (90% of my biz in ireland was done this way, only different in ireland on rare occassion I visited clients or met job candidates)
Pre dot com- top earning recruiter in massive pan european IT Rec firm. Always in top 3 highest billers highest earners out of over 200 recruiters in very sales driven environment.
Year 2000, set up with a biz partner own IT Rec firm, started set up 1st March, 1 April start recruiting, 2 of us, cheap offiice, old used office desks, 9 months later 10 - 14 staff over euro 1,300,000 in sales with over 50% profit margin. Gerry V Rich for a 28 year old...thinks he Richard Branson.
Biz partner and me, disagreement, nothing major, just got on each other nerves.
I left set up own IT Rec com with 2 trainee. 6 months later me and 2 trainees doing MORE SALES that my old company with 18 months head start and 10 well trained staff(I still had an interest in it at that stage so new the figures).
Dot Bomb Started. Suspected somthing wrong, was going to start recruiting in other non IT sectors , ready to change from IT, gut feeliing told me to do it. at last minute consulted an "expert" in UK...told me I was a kid, not experience, he knew it all,. dot com will come ROARING BACK STRONGER IN 12 to 18 months STAY IN SOFTWARE AND DOT COM he said. against gut I did... 7 staff...little in sales, big wages, alot of my own cash 100Ks down toilet, as had to reinves to keep it going. tried to do Sales Exe Search,,,did not work out.
Anyway... over next 2 years, had to let staff go very disouraged, 1 guy left recruiting, he join competition, promised not to touch my clients for 6 months.... next day I got a call, he was calling all my client stealing them away. Decied to work solo..2005 not good year. Hate life in ireland, hated weather, the new money money money attitdue, the fast pace, the expensive living.
The GOOD PART....
A guy I knew a Life coach and internet coach, was working remotely from Thailand. suggest I try the same. told me about VOIP. did my homework, got VOIP...emailed my database 3 times with next VOIP number, packed up...6 weeks later was in Thailand.
Cheap living,. lovely weather, lovely culture, nice way of life, nice beaches.
Muay thai training daily, and more muay thai kickboxing and more Muay Thai!!
Used to hate mornings in ireland.... now mornings I do kickboxing, coffee in starbucks my the beach 3pm start work into ireland/
Last few months very unhappy in my job. could not figure out why. I mean i am living in thailand, I am boxing daily, hot weather dailym cheap low cost, so lucky by business is portable once i have nboradband for VOIP. Realised I hated many of the tasks in my recruitment job... hours searching monster candidate database, boring Telemarking, mind numbing screening Technical Support Level 1 dudes with same 6 quesitions day in day out, uninsprinign email blasts and same same same... could not understand as I like beign entrepeneur.
Pick up book last week. knew about outsorucing, outsoruced some stuff in ireland like Telemarketing but too too expensive over there.
Got 4 week book, scanned chapter on outsourcing, picked up on what Iwanted (God moves in mysterious ways!), got on to elance wednesday...thursday interviewed a can diate database researcher to search online candidate resume databases. Trained him hard, 4or 5 hours between writing specs, step by step instructions, and every 2 hours, he had to stop and send me Resumes he found re the type of IT Engineer I need. Thursday he did more in 4 hours that I would do in 2 days. Excellent. more feedback to help him.. today he did 5 hours...last 4 my net crashed for few hours(happens in thailand min once a week), so I gave him trust to work free, after all 5 hours training I gave him which I documentated and email him the docs. net back up. Resumes he sent me... terrible. WWIII!!!! so he is sulking and I am about to get on a plane to indian, and tell him off in avery Irish way!1! LOL!!! So door is open for him to redeem himself if he re does 4 hours for free over weekend to replaced botch job.
Anyway I am rambling a bit. I have 3 or 4 projects on elance all to do with outsourcing the crap jobs in my work I hate. I have 2 more to post, I intend to have 60 - 70% of what I do outsourced in 4 weeks, and I am sure there will be lots of cock ups, so I will have subs on my team, never rely on 1 firm to do a task.. will give out to 2 or 3 etc.
I am so excitied about all this.. I can work ON my business most of the time and 30% in my Business.
I just introduced Krav Maga, a Self Defense System to Thailand for 1st time ever...there is not much money in it over there . Thai people not into street self defence. but I love it, and I am started to teach 2 nights a week,
thidsoutsourcing will give me time to wirte an ebook on self defense kra maga, make a DVD of a live self defence work shop as next up sell, then proper produced DVD, I want to get selfdefense blog going..affilates all that stuff to make money. here is a tempoary web site...new one coming in 4 weeks http://www.kravmagathailand.com now its a crappy home made site but my bio is on there, so I can intro myself
and write ebook about job hunting/finding dream career as my 10 years as a recruiter, I gave this advice out for free. so may as well make some residual on the net automated, as per Tims book, I reckon I could talk this book into MP3 over a week and get ghostie to write it proper.
So yeah is this my MUSE then...
Yeah I love it...especially now outsourcing, less boring tasks, more time for kickboxing, self defence write e book on my passions, make step 1 info products. all in sunny Thailand while making euro tax free in ireland.
You know say earn 40,000 euro which is crap for a solo self employed expriened recruiter,,,see I live a humble simple life these days (been through the red sports car/bottle Moet flash South Beach thing) , 40K euro is over here is like earning 300,000 euro a year back in ireland. Thank God, I am so Lucky! :-)

Is Tim still looking?
Quick roundup of what I have achieved, taking the do one thing at a time approach to the max.
2004 - no money (uni student) and putting on weight daily (110kgs)
2007 - 80kg and working my way to mens health cover model body, enough money to retire. Traveling the world, and loving it.
I was probably another year away from writing your book (damn you Tim :) )
I decided to work on 1 goal and only 1 goal at a time. The first goal was to make enough money to retire before i turned 30. I started when i was 24. Had previously made some money online with a few mp3 sites, and knew it could be done. I jotted down what i liked to do and how i could use the internet to make some money from it. I found it and made enough to retire by 26. So that was the money problem out of the way. Have now automated everything and work zero hours.
I decided then that it was time to lose the weight. I did it the stupid way, i tried the fat loss drugs, the weight watchers stuff and all that rubbish, before i finally figured out the only way was the simplest way. Eat less calories then you burn and work hard. This combined with protein and a healthy eating plan and i managed to lose 25kilos fairly quickly, as part of my exercise routine, i started playing indoor soccer. 1 year later and I was part of the International team. I have just got back from 2 weeks in Russia where I played for my country in the Indoor Soccer world cup.
Now its all about Travel, have moved to England and use this as a base to travel all around Europe. This month, ill be in Germany for Oktoberfest, followed by France, Spain and a few other countries, then I head back home for Christmas and then 3 months in Central America.
Next up is going to be relationships, a tough one to work out, but im sure ill succeed.
You can contact me on the email i used to signup for the forum.
I'm glad you wrote the book and have inspired others to do it. It's good to know i wasn't the only one.
Thanks
Steve
