Firstly - I know this is not my ideal muse, because it's not immediate permanent value. That being said, I needed to figure a way to ease my transition from 12-hour workdays, and after hearing the suggestion from multiple friends and family members (usually the ones who come to me for advice), I thought I'd see what y'all have done.
My idea is to offer life coaching - the obvious and largest obstacle to success being that it's a crowded market of dubious legitimacy. Seeing as I've been greatly successful in my day job, which could be similarly described, I don't see this as an insurmountable problem.
My idea was to attract clients by offering a free consultation, but filter them by having them fill out a questionnaire to establish their level of interest and determine what they're most seeking help for. I'll make it clear in my advertising that the consultation is a limited-time offer, and will not be repeated until my work with existing clients is completed. (One thing I'd like to stress in my advertising is quality over quantity, and so I intend to coach them as long as it takes to reach their goals - but no longer.)
Has anyone on here tread this path before, and have some advice? Or you other muse creators... suggestions for a new entrepreneur?
