View Full Version : Buttons for websites
Hi Folks,
I see a lot of sales letters that have those shiny "buy now" buttons.
I have found some websites that allow you to generate your own but they're all ugly or you have to set up an account to get at the nice ones.
Do you know of a way to get nice custom ones for free, either online or using open sourse sorftware?

What color is best for 'buy now' buttons - red, blue, green?

Its generally one of the last thin you want them to see or read so placment and gradual build up of a relationship is far more important then colour
Also convincing them you payment method is safe and secure... Thats why PayPal includes the Visa/MasterCard/Amex symbols -
PayPal buttons work because people recognize them for security and feel safe with them . Id also bet that PayPal has not only colored thier buttons that way for brand recognition, but they have also had a research team look into the best button styles.....
PayPal's are generally blue and orange...
But ive got a site with a big red one and it works a treat as well, because the build up of relationship is strong.

here's another good one

as for colour - it's true red tends to outperform other colours, but this should always be tested. (plus if everyone else is red, there's a strong argument for being different)

Thanks for that - I agree the orange color conveying value is a good choice. LOL @ the "booty button"!
