Hey everyone. If you've been following me over the past years, you know that I launched a muse called 90-Day Pianist, an eBook about how to learn to play the piano in 90 days.

Here are some of the past threads about it:

My Muse is Online! (http://fourhourworkweek.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=332)

90-Day Pianist: Re-launch (http://fourhourworkweek.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=1323)

So what happened?

I got laid off from work in early 2008 and let 90-Day fall by the wayside because of money concerns. But now that I'm back on my feet and making money from home writing on Elance, I have the means and time to put 90-Day Pianist back together.

Thank goodness I saved the .pdf file.

Nothing new yet, and you'll notice that the 90-day website is parked for me on GoDaddy right now, but you can expect to find updates on this thread.

One note: Even though I haven't gotten 90-Day Pianist to serve as my full-income producing muse yet, every time I tried and failed, I learned. I know exactly how to go about putting 90-Day Pianist now, I know how to get free order forms (http://1shoppingcart.com/) for 30 days (sign up for the trial), and I know I have to push the copier even harder.

Why am I sticking with 90-Day Pianist even though I made no sales earlier? I found someone online who wrote that they planned to buy one, even though I never got the word out to a TON of people. I think there's still a market, and if I can promote it well enough with a solid Web page and still NOT get any sales, if after plenty of testing and changing up I still don't get sales, I'll try something else.

It's good to be back!

I wish you luck. It sounds like an interesting product.

As a pianist of 13+ years myself, I can tell you there is demand out there to learn instruments like piano and guitar (probably the 2 most popular).

You may consider, if you haven't already, marketing your product with mini-lessons on Youtube. I will be marketing several products myself through Youtube videos-- Youtube just works perfect for certain topics where video is essential. I think it would work perfect for something as complex as piano teaching.

Good luck.

Yes, I'll second the youtube idea.

- Free hosting for high quality videos
- Inclusion in their search, can drive people to you site.
- If you hit it real big on youtube, they will pay you a % of ad sales. Any video with 1M hits probably made the creator about $1k / million.

I agree with the YouTube advice, thanks guys. I plan on doing a sample video to enhance my credibility (i.e., you actually hear me explain it and see me play) as well as to drive some traffic to the site.
