Wow.. I did it..
I don't think that I would have taken the initiative and ask to work from home as that was a point in the interview process for this position.. "We do not allow (job title) to work from home",
I saw an opportunity and thought of how I could capitalize and make it sound appealing.. the worst I could end up is him saying no and I continue the way things are.
I talked with the wife and called the meeting.
It didn't go well on my end at all. I was nervous and it shown through. He didn't care, he said that since I'm a hard worked and a top performer.. he would give me the perk. He talked a bit on how he could make it work with the others on my team. He's going to talk with his manager so they are on the same page, he'll have a definitive answer for me tomorrow.
Holly shit.. It worked and it was easy. I can now prove myself at home, less stress, be close to my family and work on my muse as well.
