Hey, everybody. I posted here a couple times before and I got great feedback. Now I am back and will take any suggestions.

What Should I Do For My Muse?

A Little Background:

I am an 18 yr old first year student at the University of Chicago.
I am a Bio Major.
My parents want me to be a doctor. (I'm not sure I want to do that.)
I have read The Four Hour Work Week.

My Interests:

Reading Japanese manga (Bleach, Naruto) I am currently taking Japanese classes.
Traveling the world (I've been overseas a few times)
Reading Personal Development Blogs (Steve Pavlina, Tim Ferriss, Zen Habits)
Helping kids achieve their goals (I spoke to some kids in middle school.)
Jobs that AREN'T the usual 9-5.
Meeting interesting people
Checking out new technology (Mostly electronics)

It seems everyone at the UofC is passionate about something. I'm just not passionate about science, math, humanities, and so on. I really like to just enjoy life. I wouldn't say I am lazy, I just need some direction. Again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

hmmm, interesting post. thanks for being straightforward!

hope you don't mind me throwing out some thoughts.

its interesting that people read about Tim setting up a money tree, and want to quickly and easily want to do the same. i am pretty sure that out of 100 people setting up muses only about 1 make more than $500 a month.

When I joined this community, I asked to see if anybody had a muse that was making more than $500 (http://fourhourworkweek.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=2664). It turns out not many people replied. There are almost 4,000 entrepreneurial members here. But it turns out that I have only found about 6 maybe 7 people (from reading way too many threads) that are actually doing this. so that means that less than 1/10th of 1 percent.

if you don't mind me saying, what i really suggest you doing is start with a www.Tumblr.com to just write about little things you like, post pictures, learn about stuff. its producing something, but easy, quick, and you can see what your interests gravitate towards.

Also you might want to checkout this big list of ways to make money online (http://fourhourworkweek.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=2683). there isn't any get-rich quick ways included. it all requires work (usually a ton of it)

ok all the best. feel free to post your tumblr blog if you set one up, or if you have any questions about webstuff feel free to drop me a line.

I agree with David Craige but don't get discouraged. Like he's saying it really takes hard work and disciple and most people can't do that. It took me about 6 months to get some really great muses and developing them to where i like them. Some were hobbies and another was job related, as i own a service business offline. it can be a fun and exciting experience but i'm a big believer in hard work and discipline and not settling. Just think outside the box and look for smaller niches.
