First time posting a thread. I've read Tim's book (and enjoyed it thoroughly), reviews (both positive and negative), many posts on the message board, made dreamlines (with pretty good results in that I purchased a more reliable vehicle, moved from a pretty dismal area to an exciting city, found a better-paying job, and found "a smart and gorgeous girlfriend" just like the dreamline example in the book), and began planning my muse. However, what does concern me is that I haven't seen a collection of "success stories" that have used Tim's book and matched (or come close to his success). If I've missed a section devoted completely to that, please direct me to that. And yes, I know that many people that read books about how to become successful at something will not act. Others will become bogged down in the planning and not proceed. If there's someone out there who's one of these success stories, I'd like to hear from you. Having a background in military intelligence, internal security in a corporate setting, and researching and writing history, I'm obviously the type that needs to see the proof. Thanks.

yea, im shooting for the same thing with this thread (http://fourhourworkweek.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=2664)

so far there has been 3 pages of hot air and negativity.

there are two guys who say they have accomplished it. hopefully with almost 4,000 members here we can find at least a handful who are on their way.

I don't believe you are going to find what you are looking for easily. The hard truth of the matter is that most folks who rely on self help books and methods like Tim has published, aren't successful to the extent he has been.

Most of the people who share the level of success as Tim has, are usually self motivated enough, and do not spend their time reading self help books and posting on forums. They are do'ers and do not need success stories to motivate them.

Do Tim's methods work? Yep, for him they did. Will they work for most of his audience? Nope, but that's no fault of Tim's. The percentage of people who read Tim's life consolidated into a weeks worth of reading will never put out the amount of effort and perseverance needed to replicate his results.

My question to the original poster is why is it that you "need to see the proof"? What will this change?

I've seen many posts on this and other forums asking for more detailed information on 'product creation' and the like. Guess what, you're not going to get it. It's too abstract and there are way too many avenues. There are plenty of examples all around though. Just look at every successful website created (ebay, google, ask, craigslist, myspace, facebook) as well as the endless infomercials and ridiculous products you see on TV. Keep watching, year after year, more and more successful ideas and companies come out of the woodwork The only difference between you and them, is that they went forward with their ideas, win or lose, and didn't sit around questioning everything.

I certainly wouldn't post my muse websites on this type of forum because my success is based on topping the competition, not creating more of it from folks who want to replicate a good idea rather than come up with their own.

Sorry if this came off as a rant, it wasn't intended to be and I'm not meaning to lash out at the OP, but I just don't get how much more specific the authors of these books and programs need to get to satisfy the critics.

For a shorter version of LeeC's post. The people who have really made it aren't here. The board is mostly people who read the book and wandered here bridled with enthusiasm about starting a muse (myself included).

If you want to see success examples, think of something you might want to buy and search for it. If one of the results on the first page is an ecommerce site not run by a large company, there's a good candidate.

yea.

this forum could possibly be a great place to meet entrepreneurs and business owners though. i don't know of any place on the web that actually has a good community of people like that.

besides cold calling many people for lunch, where else are you going to find and meet people that travel, have online businesses, and are entrepreneurial.

What determins success?

Is it removing yourself from work?
Making lots of money?
Achieving what you desire?

You will not get proof. Every story is different, because each definition of success is different.

There is a huge amount of inspiration scattered over posts in this forum. If you look for answers to specific questions you will stumble upon them.

4hww is a lifestyle, there is no proving a lifestyle either.

I suggest you avoid that "forum". It's full of scammers and fake 'gurus'.

Spent some time on the warrior forum after you told me about it. Thanks!

Seems like it's a lot of guys who are making money by having an ebook for sale. This ebook usually says that you can make money by having an ebook for sale.

I'm looking to find some guys (and girls) who are entrepreneurs, like to travel, are interested in service projects and helping people out. (kinda like Tim). Not sure if the warrior forum has any people like that.

With any forum based around IM, just be selective on what you take away from it and wary on buying into any programs. Most of the information for sale there can be found for free online easily.

Not too long after I first joined, I came to the conclusion that the best niche of all, is selling niche marketing programs to wannabee internet marketers/bloggers. ;)

Seems that during the California and Alaska Gold rushes, there was more money made selling shovels and picks than was ever found in the gold fields! ;)

Somthing tells me that our friend Tim knows this too.
