When I read trough a lot of the posts on this forum as well as others, I see a lot of people involved in lively discusions. Some stupid, some very sensible.

And on this particular forum it seems to me that the people that have the most problems in getting going are the ones that cover themselves in anonimity.

Would you trust an anonymous person?

Be yourself, stop hiding and speak up!

You will never become an expert if you stay in hiding!
So,

Run a personal blog
Write responces in your own name on other blogs and forums that link to your blog
know that what you write will stay on the net forever, make sure you write the best you can
Be personal in what you write: from one person to another

Tip: Some forums have a signature that automatically apears in ALL posts you have ever written. If you want to promote a new site, put it in your signature and it apears everywhere on that forum!

Good point. I was also reading on Steve Pavlina's blog something along the lines of, "it's silly to make your website a 'we' when it's really an 'I.'" In the book Tim advocates not making yourself look like the ultimate shot caller in your enterprise, but it seems a bit silly to put on false pretenses. I'm attempting to stay genuine on my site and make it clear that the content and presentation comes from me.

I think you're spot on. I was writing about something like that just yesterday:

(Having problems with line breaks...just bear with it)

I don't think the forums here allow a signature. Any reason for that webgal?
