Hello, everyone!

My name is Max, I’m 23 years old and I live in Russia, Moscow. I’m currently working in a transnational company (on a 2 year management trainee program), getting the postgraduate (PHD education), but trying to develop my own projects online at the same time.

I wanted to ask if you know which drop-shipping companies work and ship to Russia. And probably you could be interested in some kind of cooperation yourself.

Anyway, now you have somebody to show you Moscow in case you decide to arrange one of your mini-retirements over here ;)

Nice to meet you all!

G'Day,

What kind of product you'd like to drop ship? It really very different for, say, DVDs comparing to, say, custom Ferrari alloy wheels.

I haven't defined the product (and haven't even made a final decision about drop-shipping), but my main priorities are:

1. It should be unique or at least have some unique characteristics to provide the necessary minimum level of demand.
2. Possibility to automate as much as possible. I can create the web-site (online store) myself or outsource it, but at the end of the day, when everything is set up system should work without my interference.
3. Consequence of the #2. There should be no customs difficulties or delays.
4. Consequence of the #2. There should be no logistics difficulties.
5. Consequence of the #2. It should be possible to provide as little support as possible. Or at least be able to provide the support online, not via phone.

4-5 are the reasons why Ferraries isn't such a good option ;) It would be pretty difficult not only to get Ferraries through the customs, but also to ship them to the end customer or store them somewhere.

6. Relatively low barrier of entering the market. In other words no minimal amounts of purchases or anything like that.
7. Drop-shipping company (ideally) should have the experience of shipping to Russia and be aware of all the distinctive features.

Will you tell a couple of words about yourself?

Very good idea for you, Max. Manufacture it in China and dropship to Russia.

Customs differ depending on your country. In Australia it's quite easy and I haven't had a problem getting things into the country that are less than $1000 value. The strictness will depend on your government and also which country it's coming from.

These are all questions that need an answer, but this isn't the stuff you should be concentrating on. Decide what it is and who you are targeting! You should be able to get sample prices from most chinese dropshippers who will do one offs.
