I have already created a high-end research report (in PDF format) to sell and don't want to create a dedicated website & store to sell it. I'd rather sell it through a more public venue to up its credibility/visibility as a "published" product. It needs to stay in PDF format as its audience is not going to spend a lot of time on proprietary eBook tools. and it needs to be automated--i'm not emailing people their PDF or hand-processing their credit card.
every place I've found is an eBook seller with a proprietary eBook system. everyone else i've found has built their own website.
any ideas for a reputable store that will sell PDF reports? (don't say Amazon--they send you over to new acquisition MobiPocket.) i don't care if they take a cut or not, as long as i don't have to do any of the work.
Thanks,
Abby

how about creating your own store? I'm a web developer and could help you with it. You could use paypal to acept payments and have a script that automatically emails out the pdf when payment is received.
Or would you prefer using a site like amazon that has guaranteed traffic?

Paypal is a great option & will boost your sales. Their credit transaction fees are a little higher then average (2.9% + .30 per sale), but it comes with the shopping cart (most dont and cost extra) & everything you need to do business minus having a website built.

I think Clickbank does what you are asking for. The only thing you might have to do yourself is post a single web page that describes your product. This is dead easy and you could probably outsource it for about $100 including a domain name and hosting costs for one year. The page would direct the customer to clickbank who then takes the credit card and provides the file as a download.

I was looking at marketresearch.com - would your report fit in there? I have a similar muse, would you be willing to drop me a line and tell me more about yours?

another option would be http://www.tradebit.com/ - they allow you to sell any downloadable files. It's run by a friend of mine.

You can also try out http://www.e-junkie.com (http://www.e-junkie.com/?r=6630). That's what I plan on using to sell my muse.

I have used these guys in the past and they are doing a very nice job:
http://www.payloadz.com/
The rates are very nice and you can even do some kind of commission sharing with them so that you dont have to pay if you dont sell...
