I tend to change jobs every few years. I work in finance in the North East USA. It is getting to be about that time and I want my next position to have be with a company that encourages or is open to remote work (my current company is clearly not) I have worked in several different roles and I want to know which specific jobs are better suited for remote work as well. If anyone here has these answers I would appreciate it but I think I need to speak to a wider audience, what are the major public remote work forums and websites out there? thanks

Well just about any job that doesn't invole direct neccesary interaction with a customer/client. Like a customer service rep (even then you can forward your calls to any number worldwide). And also I would say anything in sales where you need to be hands on. Like right now being a loan officer in the finance can be hard if you are required to meet face to face.
Be creative and I think you can be suprised at how much can be done remotley.

You can have calls forwarded anywhere now. You can have regular mail scaned in and forwarded to email. You can have faxes dumped into email also. You can check email via so many different mediums now adays.
Best of Luck!

Did you read this? http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2007/06/14/how-to-do-the-impossible-create-a-paperless-life-never-check-voicemail-again-never-return-another-phone-call/
You could also stay at "home" and bid for projects on elance. What line of work are you in?
