I've been creating websites for a while now, and now until now have I started with selling web hosting as well. It's a great deal, and i'm very happy with my results. It's fairly easy to manage, support is very simple and easy, and I have no problems. If anyone is looking for affordable web hosting for their small business or muse, check out www.enzymeonline.com and click on the Hosting page. If you pre-order for a year, you get a free domain!

hey MaxN....I like your site design etc..but personally I think your hosting prices are way too expensive..(compared to other guys....its about 4-5x more..) I pay less than $5 and I get more bang than your most expensive package.

If you lower prices and add some more features I think you will get more customers...is that a possibility? Also check other hosting companies for ideas...cool site though

Hey tunakid, thanks for the quick reply. I realize that the prices may be very expensive, and I may change them soon. The only problem is, like Tim says in the book, fewer customers means less support, meaning less time. Also, i'm aimed towards small businesses that have no idea where to start. A lot of hosting companies charge $2-5 bucks for their hosting but quite often have terrible support. How much do you think I should charge?

Thanks for the comments about the site :)

There is always someone who can go cheaper - what I have found is that customers will spend more for simple solutions they can modify and a friendly voice on the phone.

But visually, it looks really good. But to me, having "currently a full time student and will be graduating in 2009" may drive customers away or make them think they can get stuff on the cheap.

You have a friendly, nice design.

What do you mean by making them "get stuff on the cheap" ?

Theres ALOT of startup businesses etc.. (not necessarily online startups) If you could compile a list of small businesses in your local area (and/or surrounding areas) (mom & pop, unique/small businesses etc..) make a one-page-jam-packed flyer about how websites are absolutely essential to business these days and advertise your hosting services (are you reselling btw?) ..also give them a discount in exchange for leaving one/two of your flyers in their store...thats the best thing I could think at the moment ..because if you google for hosting companies theres HUNDREDS of companies...but for those new startup small businesses & old fashioned folks who has very little technical know-how to start/build/run a website, they'll be very thankful if you bring it to them....

The reason I thought of that is because, there is a local postal service business around where I live and they've been in business since 1976 but until about a year ago, they had NO website...I hooked them up with the details and design and they were very thankful (plus got paid...they still call me for minor repairs/maintenance issues)

Try it.

Thank you so much for the advice! I will most certainly do this! I'll let you know how it goes.
