What you all think are the best careers for the new rich ( apart from entrepreneurship). Requirements would be flexibility of location, the ability to produce value in a short amount of time and decent pay.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm picking up an internet job, a friend made a lot of money at. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post anything concrete in the message boards.
She is with mortgages with Countrywide and started this when the market tanked. She hasn't made enough to quit, but has made enough to suplement the lousy housing market. Send me an email or private message if you are interested. Its done by computer and traveling can come in handy.

The best career is no career. The ability to set up recurring passive income is the key to the new rich lifestyle.

Very true Kamakiri. That's why many internet jobs are fantastic choices for people with no options. It doesn't take much time to get off the ground, and its easy to outsource once its up and running. I'm hoping that in a few months I'll be able to kill my "real" job and focus completey on the internet.

I have passive income, but love working at my company. I don't know if 100% only passive income is what everyone wants. I love managing, interacting, and problem solving in the company I work for now and wouldn't change it for more passive income. I definitely enjoy the "NR" life style, come and go as I please work from anywhere, but also get the joy of working with a team, building something huge... don't be to quick to rule out careers, just make sure your career is flexible for your NR life style.
