Google sites- A viable option?

Having come up with 3 very solid muse ideas, i have hit a wall in the next step, which is to create a website to test my markets. I spent 6 hours today trying to figure out wordpress(don't flame i know its supposed to be easy :p) however a close friend mentioned that google has a site builder as well as google checkout which is supposedly more secure than paypal. What do you guys think? is it viable? i should have the first site done by tomorow and i will show you what i have come up with.

Google Sites is more aimed as tool for companies, classroom, groups, etc to manage and share their internal information. Its not really aimed at building websites for business ideas.
