I need some advice regarding my new product/website. The website is ALGCare.com, the site looks great and I have a great product for allergies. Most of the traffic is directed from advertising on Google and Yahoo. I started the site three weeks ago and so far about 800 people visited the website, most of the people visited the order page but no one ordered the product. I wonder if I should keep trying or just give up. The product really works and I would hate to give up but I can't figure out why people are not ordering. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.Thank you very much

A few of my thoughts...
1) Be careful with you claims. "It is our philosophy that it is only by strengthen the body’s ability to handle foreign substances that an illness can be cured and prevented from reoccurring." Dietary supplements cannot make claims that they "treat, prevent, or cure any disease" and you should probably include somewhere to consult with your doctor before using, if for nothing other than to reduce liability... and if you're not marketing it as a supplement then the FDA will classify it as a "new drug" which presents a whole other slew of problems with having to have documented research...
2) Theres a spelling error... "you must e-mail us at costumersupport@algcare.com"
3) Your guarantee is not very good. 21 days for a product that takes 30 days to use? I would offer a minimum of 45 or 60 days. You say you believe in your product and your guarantee should support that...
4) You have 800 people who visited the site, no orders and from what I can tell no way to gather information from the people who did visit your page. Why not include a free report... "7 Surefire Ways To ...." I don't have allergies so I don't really know what you could tell them. If you at least had a few dozen email addresses you could begin marketing to them somehow and try and convert them.
5) Your site is reallyyyy slow... maybe my connection is slow right now for some reason but each page takes a long time to load...
6) I've actually read that having a 7 in the price increases sales as it is a "familiar" #.... It would be interesting to change the price to $37.95 instead of $39 and see if anything happens....
7) "We are highly confident that ALG Care will work for you! One order will provide you with a 30 day supply and in most cases 30 days of treatment will eliminate your allergy. You will likely not have to re-order next month."
Once again a pretty dangerous (possibly illegal) and almost unbelievable claim. And if anything you should be trying to find ways to keep people ordering...
8) Introductory bottle... maybe offer an initial bottle for $17.95 or $27.95..
Anyways, i think with 800 views theres interest, i wouldn't give up on it yet but work on the content of your page.

I like your design and it wasn't slow for me. The one thing that jumped out at me is that you don't have the order page secured yet you claim it is...
This site is powered by P.C.I.C SSL Secure Server
The order page is wide open, very few people will give you their credit card number on an unsecured order page. I wouldn't order because of that.

Fix SSL on your site. People these days know a little bit more about what to look for & that's an absolute must. Its not only good for doing business, but it also makes doing e-sales less of a liability for you and them.

Yeah, the lack of SSL was the first thing that jumped out. I can't believe you claim you have it, when it is a bold-faced lie. No one in their right mind would give you any CC info, and the credibility of your other claims about the product are now suspect.
Whoever is hosting your site should make it easy to set up an SSL certificate, and you can get one for about $99 per year.
And how are you accepting CC numbers? Merchant account with internet payment gateway? Somehow, I suspect that it is just a form the will email you the information or it just puts it in a database for you to view and access anyway, as no merchant account provider would approve you without an SSL cert, and no decent payment gateway would work without a valid merchant account credentials.
And if that's the case, you have some serious liability issues that could come up. If any info is stolen, you will be directly liable.
Plus, your copyright notice doesn't say who owns the copyright. You desperately need that as well.

I really appreciate that you took the time to review the site. It seems like you have experience and your comments were very helpful. Thank you very much, I will correct the things you mentioned immediately.

First of all, bound to attract attention from Ness Technologies: http://www.ness.com/
And you did NOT follow Tim's advice and set up an LLC. But your GoDaddy whois did reveal your mail drop address.
Ok its "Maimonidean" - which has nothing to do with traditional Indian or Chinese medicine.
As for the claims made on the site, they are NOT compelling. One, that implies that it is safe because it is all natural is absolutely false. I have a food allergy and end up in the emergency room at least once a year because someone did not take me seriously when I told them the food I am allergic to.
In fact, according to the Center for Drug Evaluation & Research, U.S. Food & Drug Administration, Office of Clinical Pharmacology & Biopharmaceutics, several drugs may be affected by citrus - especially grapefruit.

Thank you for taking the time to review the site. We had a problem with the order now page and we will fix it immediately. The thing is that people generally don't fill in their information in the order now page or press the order now button, to test it. 100% of the visitors visit all pages of the website, spending an average of 3 1/2 minutes at the site. The last step that they take is to visit the order now page and log out, without filling out the information. We will fix the order now page, but i'm not sure if that is really what the reason they are not ordering.

I used to work as a network engineer for a few years before joining the military & I can offer some advice to you about your website and how to avoid some errors that have been mentioned.
Make two websites. You can do this on the same hosting account, just create a directory that only you have access to such as www.whateveryourbusinessis.com/testsite.. make it whatever you want.
We would do this and hand it over to the Q&A department, which in this case can be some people you hire an outsourcing agency to do,s close friends or business partners, or even people from this site. From there all errors could be discovered and fixed before your site gets released to the public. We'd call one site "stage" and the other "live".
I'd recommend this for anyone out there who owns a website.
Think of it as writing a book, essay, report, etc.. it needs a rough draft.

Actually, thats a really good point. Grapefruit inhibits the breakdown of certain medications.

Um...again, no one is going to enter information like that onto a page that is not protected with SSL. So yes, that is probably the reason no one has ordered anything. Browser's nowadays are very adept at telling users what pages are secure and which ones are not.

Are you just testing this site?
Another problem. I went to the order page, and just clicked Order Now without entering in any information, and it took me to the backorder notice. So you're not doing any kind of verification on the fields.
Even if you're just testing, you will need an SSL cert to get some real numbers.
