Hi everyone,
I've finally decided to take the plunge and I just finished defining my first muse idea.
It will basically be a romantic guide to Paris. I'll list a hundred or so places / hotels / restaurants, with a romantic touch to it.

I have a plan of action which is :
- Listing my strengths and what differetiates me from the existings offers (done)
- writing a sales copy
- building a website
- launching an adword campaign to adjust some parameters (price range, additional sales at the order page, different type of guaranties,...)

As english is not my native language (I'm French - and Parisian, one of my "credibility point" for the muse ;) ), I think I'll outsource the sale copy.

My questions are about costs :

- What would be an acceptable price range for a sales copy written by a professional writer ?
- And what would be the price for a simple 3-page website with a simple yet effective design ?

and then a personnal question, how much would you be paying for an nice ebook on visiting Paris ? 10$ ? 30$ ? (I plan it to be around 200pages, with suggested tours, landmarks, nice places, a notation).

Thanks for reading !

Regarding Price of the ebook - well, actually, we're hardly your target market.

So I'd suggest once you're done, you'll test one week with 47, one week with 27 and maybe even one week with 37. Don't go way below 20 Bucks if you have any relevant content to sell ever - unless it's a product to reel in pre-qualified costumers for a much bigger back-end product.

I Personally love the idea. Though I didn't search for something like that the first time I visited paris, I was highly disappointed to see that it was "just another city" when I visited there with my (now ex-)girlfriend a few years ago.

I guess everyone assumes just naturally that paris==romance and nobody worries about the details, but once they go there and ruin their trip by trying to visit half the sights in one day (we did... oh boy was that ever NOT a vacation anymore), even those people will be interested in your stuff.

Hard to pre-gauge costs for good salesletters, really. They go from a few hundred bucks to a couple of thousand dollars, but then you're paying for the name.

A 3-Site-Page selling an ebook usually won't need much coding (unless you put gimmicks on your site like an interactive map with the top 10 most romantic secret places people can click on, read some teaser content and then get redirected to the salespage if the want to "Learn More..."), thus mostly the design work will be what you have to pay for. We have enough people here who put up offers on elance for things like that, maybe some of them will provide you with some sample data.
