Hello All

As you might now from my previous postings, I extensively use text-only pay per click (Google Adwords style) to drive traffic to my websites. This tactic has proven extremely profitable both on the search and content network (although I do use different techniques, depending on whether I use search or content).

I am always open to new tactics for demand generation to my online ventures, so I would be curious to know your experience with online BANNER advertising.

I am not talking about those annoying popups, I am talking about those "image+copy" ads that you can see on many sites.

Do you use banner advertising?

Which are you goals with banner advertising (pure brand awareness, email signups, immediate "direct-response" style sales?)

Which results have you got so far?

My thinking is to do banner advertising on the google content network, not on any other networks.

Look forward to receiving your posts

ciao!

Dan

I have had enormous success with banner advertising on the content network. It is for one of my clients.

I did cut out some countries after the first week because they were bogus link farm clicks. Trying to hunt down all the sites was a pain, so I looked up the ip addresses and blocked countries. Now the clicks appear to be legit.
