Hi,
Has anyone outsourced their SEO, SMO, SEM and link building of there website? If so, can you please tell me what kind of costs I should expect to pay?

I'm trialling Directory Maximiser (14c per submission to a directory). I spent $14 the other day and the submissions seem to have done already (I got a whole lot of confirmation emails one afternoon and one acceptance and one rejection so far). I'll post an update if I remember after a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately you can't pick which directories to submit to - although you can upload a list of places you've already submitted to. You can also stagger the submissions over a number of weeks.

I'm sure most directories are not worth the effort. But it was taking me around 5-10 minutes to find a suitable directory, right section and then submit previously.

Elsewhere I've seen on elance someone being paid $50 to build 100 links. No idea what the project was or if they had to find them (or used a supplied list).

As most of my muses are built on quality SEO, I would not consider outsourcing it. I've seen how some of these places work, and they turn your link into spam. Directorys, search engines submissions and other link spam is not helpful to your site in the long run.

As it is now, I get 30,000 people per day coming to my site from search engines (primarily google). This was done with partnering with several high quality sites for link exchanges, and careful selection of keywords.

Thanks for your response jetpacklife. Can you point me to your website?

Also can you please point me to some good sources of information?

The more I read about SEO the more I am mystified by it!

Thinking again from what you said '... built on quality SEO'. When you say quality what do you mean by it?

I am creating a iphone gadget, so I would be please if you can give me an example(s) of how I can achieve quality SEO?

If you would rather send me a private message then please do so.

Thanks.

There is no mystery about Seo.

Seo is, in order of importance:

a) High PR Highly Targeted Inbound Links - achieved via anything from social bookmarking to link buying (which is against googles terms and regulations if they catch you, so no links that are obviously bought or your rating is screwed).

b) Onpage SEO + Technical Optimisations (Anything from knowing that you need to put your keyword in the title tag, the First h1, the first + last paragraph on your page, once per 200-400 words in between, to knowing how to redirect all pages to a certain way of writing your domain name).

c) Knowing what NOT to do (avoiding linkage in bad neighborhoods, avoid directory submissions, most article submissions, obviously bought links and so on).

JV'ing, Affiliates and SEM are usually seen as other means of getting traffic, not a form of seo, but JV'ing/working with Affiliates can of course increase your natural search traffic as well because you get high quality targeted links to your site.

Clustering. For one of my clients, that is one of the most important aspects is writing the tags and descriptions in such a way they capture the long tail keywords as well.

30.000 unique visitors per / day? Let's see. > 0.5% front end conversion is 150 buyers per day times 30. Assuming what? $10 product? equals $450,000 per month. I have a hard time believing you get 30.000 visitors p/d from google. Stop trying to impress.

Of course. I stand to be corrected and might owe you an apology. Let's see what the alexa rating for your site is

Well, I actually get a lot more than 30k visitors per day. I get about 30k per day from search engines alone. I don't sell anything on the site, it's a free site. I make money with ads, as I've described many times here before. Not the same market as many of you are trying for, but still quite profitable non the less.

Now, you have to understand that I don't have a marketing website, it's actually a tool that people use, and some use everyday. I don't want to derail this topic with my website, and I don't want 4hww type people on the site anyway ;-)

I posted my numbers just to give you guys some idea how important SEO could be. It's been important to me for many years. This site has been around for 8 years building link quality and PR, only in the last 2 years has it been a breakout site.
