I've kinda thought about marketing to the New Rich. However, I think that this forum is more likely to act as a social networking site than another community might.

HELL NO, Once I've made It I hope I never have to smell you guys again for even a second!
Seriously.
Buaahahahaha.
No, just kidding, of course.
Honestly, it's kinda hard to picture a guy taking his first around-the-world-trip, currently hanging out in botswana, and surfing the net to access a community of dudes and chicks talking about how much time they have and how much they are making for doing 2.41 Hours of Work per Year.
If you find something that most NR's are interested in, however, and build a community around that, you might be more successful. Problem is, extensive travel as a niche has been kind of totally blasted to pieces over the last few years.
Hm, what else could there be...

"the new rich" is absolutely a market however it might not be as obvious as you think to do the marketing. i would not market to the "new rich" per se but to people that are looking to streamline their business model, become more productive or any other host of other "new rich" mentalities. i am in the development phase of 2 ideas at the moment. however as previously stated i dont feel there is a market for a "new rich" social site. most of us already are established in the ones we use and its much easier to establish a "clique" of new rich friends there than to establish somewhere else. if anyone has any questions or comments feel free to pm me

Check out Jet Set Life (http://www.jetsetlife.tv/home.htm), they have a community (http://travelhiptv.ning.com/) as well. Their blogs are excellent also..

Do you KNOw how many blogs and websites popped up based on the same ideas of 4HWW? They're all trying to capture the same audience as the 4HWW's website.
I don't know if that's the best market to approach, as your audience's goal and your goal conflict = you both want to become financially independent with time freedom.
IMO, there are much better markets. Think of the following audiences: businesses, the OLD rich, travelers, gadget-collectors, skiers. This brings up a good point: just because you're interested in a topic doesn't mean the rest of the world is into it, too.
There's tons of better audiences to approach, but that's just my opinion.

Sure, it's a market, but is it a viable one? That's the question :) I agree that it would likely be difficult to get people who have already "found their way" to gather someplace to talk about it. Perhaps you need to brainstorm on what they are looking for. Good luck!
