Provisional Patent in the UK

Hi Guys,

I have designed my product and created the sell sheet, I now need to file the provisional patent so I can approach the manufacturers I have identified.

Can anyone who has filed a provisional patent in the UK please give me their top three tips they wish they had known before they started.

- I wish I had read everything that is available on this forum on patents
- A good non disclosure agreement may be just as good if you only want to approach manufacturers. A provisional patent puts a date on when your invention is published, a nda may be without an end date
- patents may slow you down/take energy away from your main strenghts
- patents are international...
