I just read TFHWW on my flight back from Maui, cover to cover, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I must admit, Tim's lifestyle is certainly something to strive for, but is it attainable? Perhaps. I'll revisit that question in six months once I've had an opportunity to put his recommendations to work.
The one item I have difficulty with is reducing my e-mail review time. In my profession (legal services), e-mail must be reviewed frequently as many courts now allow for the electronic service of documents. In fact, the federal courts now require that you sign up for their electronic filing system. Hence, not a day goes by that a court notice doesn't arrive in my e-mail box.
That being said, today I began my vow to reduce/eliminate time-consuming phone calls, as well as newspapers of general circulation. Likewise, with all the legal process outsourcing (LPO) companies available today, I've decided to take the jump and have them prepare common documents and such. Again, I'll report back in six months.
Looking forward to a less stressful life.
