View Full Version : Why eBooks?

It seems like the path most taken by forumsters is the eBook route, myself included. Granted the barrier to entry is lower (have typewriter, will travel) but has anyone ran with a reselling or licensing idea that has any insight into products in that area?

Also, some have suggested giving away eBooks as incentives or simply posting the pages as a blog with AdSense. These are more akin to services, which Tim suggests we avoid. Should we be thinking about automating services as a strategy?

What about drop shipping? Is it really oversaturated? Maybe we should purchase a "group membership" to the site Tim recommends and test it out.

I'm just getting started myself, but I'm looking at drop shipping two items, so far, and I'm writing an e-book. I also have several ebook/CD/DVD info products conceptualized for the future. Hopefully, I can raise a little cash with my first products to pay for outsourcing some R&D for the others. They say drop shipping is saturated, but there's still plenty of room for someone with a little imagination. For me, World Wide Brands was a great place to start. Even if I don't make back the 250 bucks I paid for my membership, I've earned that much at least in education. My strategy right now is to do a bit of everything and find out what works.

Very well put. I feel the same way.

Good thoughts. We can come up with ideas all day, but if we don't test them, we won't get the education we need to figure out what works, and what doesn't. I'm leaning more towards the DVD approach since a lot of what I'm good at lends itself well to video, but I have a web site and a blog-ebook in the works as well. And maybe, like you, I'll spend a bit to find out how drop shipping works.
