How do I change my daily budget on AdWords

I can see how to change my monthly budget, but can I do a daily budget instead? I also see I have varying maximum CPC's for various keywords, can I alter those on a per keyword basis?

I'm new to AdWords, sorry :)

Yes to both, did you sign up for the basic account? I think you need to upgrade, there is no cost to upgrade...

First of all, on your "home" page after you click on adwords, at the bottom there is an option to "Change starting page to Campaign Summary page." This made things a lot easier for me, may be just me :) On campaign summary page, there is a button for "Edit Settings" where you can put in a daily budget.

Then, on mine I have to click on "Campaign #1" (you may have given these things different names) and then "Ad Group #1" , select all the keywords, then push the button near the top that says "Edit Keyword Settings". Here, you can enter max CPCs for each.

Have you changed your daily budget several times already? You can only change your daily budget for each campaign in your account a maximum of ten times.

I've NEVER been able to set or alter a daily budget, I've had the same montly budget since I created the campaign.

Hmmm..odd indeed. I'm out of suggestions. Perhaps check the Google FAQ. This link is for AdWords Help center (https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?topic=7024)on cost and budget. Not sure if you've seen it.

I needed to switch from Budget Optimizer to Maximum CPC Bidding. Then I was able to switch to a daily budget of $50/day as opposed to a monthly budget of $250 which had me daily budget at $8.33/day.

Google had my maximum CPC for most of my keywords at $1.50. That seemed really expensive to me, I know Tim says to set it for .20 but I set it for .50 across all keywords. Any advice on this? I don't want my CPC to be so low I don't get shown if I have to pay $1.50 a click I better have a raging conversion rate (so far I don't).

What about position preference, I assume I should leave it alone for now?

Even if this muse flops, like it's looking like it will, it's be worth the $100 education :)

I also changed the delivery method to accelerated so the ads show as quickly as possible, no reason to wait right?
