Hi....I've got my Muse up and running and would like some feedback and also offer you guys a discount.

Go to www.TLHInteractive.com. We are a Web Site hosting and design company. I've posted a link for you to down load an e book on how to put a web site together.

I need some feedback:
a. Was it useful?
b. Did you feel you could get a web site going based in the info in the book?
c. Think it's a good idea to give away or should I charge?
d. If I charge, what is a good price?

Anyone who downloads the book and then signs up for a year's hosting will get the activation fee back as a rebate. The information on how to get the rebate is in the book.

Thanks!

Ebook looks good from the first few pages, but you gotta make the user give you their email address and then send them the link to the ebook in the auto-response. That way you build up a nice marketing list.

Who are you using for your outsourced web design? And hosting? You probably know the market for these services is inundated beyond belief, so at the very least make sure you've chosen resellers that have been in the business long enough to the float to the top (I believe since everyone's stepping on each other to go broke by price, you can still pick the better hosting and design firms on the cheap).

If you give the information for free (in multi-page or blog form), as jetpacklife recommended to me, you could make money from the AdSense on twenty or more pages of content, and that wouldn't stop you from providing a "want all of this great information in one handy download? e-mail us..." link for building your permission marketing list.

You do need to go over the copy and make some corrections to put your best foot forward. After all if you're going to be selling web sites, yours should be the one behind the glass window.

I'd love to hear your strategy on cutting through the "omg cheap web hosting!" ad chatter out there!

I almost forgot, in your eBook, you include a glossary of book resources for further reading. Don't hesitate to embed links to those books that use your Amazon Associates ID. If you're circulating this eBook, you might as well be earning affiliate income for people who take the next step!

Personally, from a rote beginner drowning in the ocean of "geek speak", your book was the perfect starting point. It settled all the main issues I was confused about. Thanks.

(p.s. check page 15 at the bottom - it should be "everyone" not "ever one" Those are the convoluted errors spellcheck won't catch)

i want to agree with onemore try... i registered a couple pages with godaddy and then was instantly like "WTF" when there were options for web hosting, and having to purchase email accounts, dedicated servers blah blah blah...

its was definitely a good beginners guide though but I wouldnt hesitate to dig a little bit deeped.

But Rich had a good idea about giving maybe the first chapter or so away and then ahve them register to get their email address. etc.

Great job on the eBook. It was a really good length to give a compelling overview without getting too technical for a first-timer. I really enjoyed reading it.

However, I have one correction . . . In the beginning of the first chapter, you state that you are a big believer in the Seven Habits of Highly Successful People. You then go on to state that the "very first habit applies to websites. Begin with the End in Mind." The only problem is . . . that is NOT the first habit. The very first habit is Be Proactive. Begin with the End in Mind is actually the second habit. I am pointing this out, not to criticize or nitpick, but simply because you are making reference to one of the most popular business/performance books of all time. I would hate for your readers to question the accuracy of the rest of your content based on this simple error in the first sentence.

Again, thank you so much for the eBook. It is looking great. Good luck to you.

After re-reading my post, I also forgot to mention that the book is actually entitled Seven Habits of Highly EFFECTIVE People (Not Successful). Again, not to harp on you, but I just want to make sure that you maintain your credibility and make your muse all that it could be. Good Luck.
