We're trying to plan a month abroad next winter while I experiment with a remote work arrangement. This is our first go so we are not looking for anything too adventurous. We have two girls, 5 and 2, who are happy with a pool and a playground. We're looking for someplace warm, affordable, and all I need is high-speed.
Anyone done something similar? I'm looking for suggestions, the more specific the better...
thanks.

I've never lived/worked abroad, although I would love to. My BF and I went to Costa Rica (Jaco) last January however, and loved it. I'm pretty sure they have high-speed internet/wireless in most places, too. Absolutely beautiful and very affordable, too.

That really depends on how much money you want to spend.
You kids will be fine just about anywhere, but at 3, your daughter might have some difficulties with language acquisition later in life is she is submersed in a non English speaking community like a preschool or daily playground visits with the local kids. At 6 your other daughter will pick up the language almost instantly. Kids are amazing in that respect.
If you have any interest in a month in Japan, I'd be happy to help out. There are a few small islands just off the Nagasaki Harbor that could just as easily be in any ocean in the world.
