I don't have any first hand experience in this myself but one of my friends is as IT contractor and he outsources most of his bookkeeping to his accountant.

I don't think it would be easy to totally outsource bookkeeping but all my friend has to do is email his accountant scans of his receipts and invoices.

That may sound like it's still a fair bit of work but it only takes a few minutes a week I think. He just scans each receipt and invoice to low-res PDF, zips them up and emails them over.

This is in the UK but I presume there will be similar services through the world.
