This is my first post here.
I picked up 4HWW last week and finished it in two days. It was one of those rare books that basically articulated all of my unconscious thoughts, feelings and ambitions for the past year. I'm still young (24) and have been slowly positioning myself to create this lifestyle, but reading the book gave me the courage to jump into the deep end and learn to swim to survive.
- I have enough money saved up to last six months with no income.
- I have a muse that is currently bringing in half of my dreamline income.
- My muse is not automated and is still dependent on me.
- I have a couple more ideas for other muses and hopefully can do some great networking through this board as well as join a support group for people with similar ambitions.
I gave my boss my two weeks notice. After explaining that I had a small business on the side that I wanted to focus on, he gave me my last two weeks as paid vacation and wished me luck. I feel liberated and slightly terrified at the same time. This was my amazing "career" in finance that I worked so hard for and I just threw it in the garbage. Granted I hated my job, but it's still a bit of a shock. My parents are going to think I'm insane. I'm fortunate that I'm single, have no debt and no kids -- so I have plenty of room to fail. But still... it's been an intense day.
Look forward to posting here, and if anyone has had similar situations or any advice for the newly self-employed (I predict time-management to be a big issue), that'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. :)
