Well I'm stilling having problems accessing adwords at home, strange but I'm contacting my isp. Anyway I'm starting to look at possible keywords to link to a test muse site, and am finding some odd things about the estimators on yahoo and adwords.

If I put a CPC on my keywords of .20cents I get say 20-50 clicks a day, and a position of 4-6. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but if I set the cost .05cents I get say 40-80 clicks a day in position 13-16. What is the rational behind that? Is it because I would be in the top of the second page? Why would anyone pay more to be in at the bottom then?

Also should I just assume higher position is better or work on finding each keywords "sweespot." Thanks in advance.

I've spent a lot of time on the estimator. I have been looking for those "sweetspots" myself. I am going with the assumption that an ad on page one is good, I'm not paying for the 1-3 spots in most instances. I am not sure why (Google?) would tell you you'd get more clicks on page two, doesn't make any sense to me either, and I don't remember seeing that happen with any of my keywords :/

Tim gives some good examples on how to setup a campaign. But one of the things to keep in mind, outsourcing this to someone that has a lot of experience might be a good idea. Time involved and mistakes that can be made can be very costly and that can easily out way the cost of paying someone to manage your campaign.

My campaign is going to be aboutt $4,000 to $5,000 a month. After spending about 2 hours playing around in google I had enough. Its worth it to pay someone to program all the different ads, and the landing pages, and all the keywords.

You can look up some on elance or www.sempo.org to customize and manage your campaign.

Just a thought!
