Hi Everyone!

There are a number of the new social networks for 4HWW readers with shared interests (see below them as well):

http://4hourworkweek.ning.com/ general 4HWW, and for people who are both employees and (would-be) entrepreneurs
http://4hwwartists.ning.com/ for artists
http://fhww4im.ning.com/ for online marketers
http://4hwwmoms.ning.com/ for mothers
http://4hwwparents.ning.com/ for parents
http://fhwwff.ning.com/ for families
http://4hwwfreelancewriters.ning.com/ for freelance writers
http://4hwwlinkedinbusinesswarriors.ning.com/ for people who use LinkedIn
http://4hourworkweek.ning.com/group/4hourworkweekforpeopleinjapan/ for readers in Japan
http://4hwwdate.ning.com/ for using 4HWW principles for dating (again, all these are created by readers!)

Do you have other ideas for cool social networks?

Hundreds of readers have asked me if I have plans to create “4HWW for Mothers,” “4HWW for Employees,” “4HWW for Families,” and related extensions of 4HWW. My answer? Don’t wait for me! Create your own social network on www.ning.com — just name it “4-Hour Workweek for X” (note the spelling of the title, which is often misspelled), X being whatever community you want to create. Be sure to include the tag “4HWW” so people can find it. Take a few minutes to join or create your own group. Before you know it, you could be surrounded by hundreds of people able to help you! Just take a minute to search for a pre-existing social network before creating your own, so we can avoid duplicates.

Have fun and help each other!

Much love from a fellow adventurer,

Um... With only 2-300 people on the boards in total I don't think fragmenting the community's such a good idea quite yet but at some point in the future specialisation will be good...

These are all new networks so it does take time for them to take off.

True, although there have already been quite a few people saying "I am a" ... (mom or teacher) "how do I make this work for me?" - we should suggest they join one of those places to brainstorm with the like-minded :)

BTW someone should create one for teachers... I think I've seen some medical professionals here...and I need some moms to join me here http://4hwwmoms.ning.com/ :)

I completely agree that groups for likeminded people is an excellent idea, I'm just not sure it's the correct time with so few active community members at the moment.

Saying that though there's no harm in joining a "niche" area of 4HWW as well as this main one :)

I'm going to setup a 4HWW profile on meetup.com for my area. It might be slow at first but I think it would fun to network in person with others interested in 4HWW in a social setting.

I snagged The 4-Hour Workweek on myspace. It is rightfully yours if you want it. Just wanted to make sure that a fellow adventrurer snagged before someone else did.

Cheers!
