Ok so a friend of mine, whom has a few small plays produced and a hand in a movie, has been writing a screen play about our group of friends. The basic premise for the movie is a tight nit group of friends all together for the summer and what happens leading up to the end when, keeping with tradition, they have a large party to end all before those that go to college go their separate ways and those that didn't stay home and continue their lives....last night he finished the treatment(an in depth outline of a film) and we will shortly start looking for financial backers.....we have access to some film gear through his school....and have a good sized crew......if anyone is interested in knowing more about it please feel free to contact me at an JMH574@gmail.com.

Um, this sort of thing happens a lot, ppl looking for some1 to shell out cash for their idea in this forum... Not to say that it couldnt happen, but i have never seen it happen, and investors probably dont hang out on a forum like this. If you want help making a strategy on how to attract investors, feel free to ask that, but i havnt seen anyone giving handouts here ever.
Research how Robert Rodriguez financed his first film "El Mariachi". Then go forth and make a movie.

As well as 'Rebel Without a Crew' also read 'My First Movie' edited by Stephen Lowenstein - contains 20 celebrated directors talking about every aspect of getting their first movie in the can - lots of tried and tested ideas to finance films here.
