any suggestions about magazine advertisment. a consultation with a lawyer?
in the process of building a website and a sellsheet..

It seem that you realy have no clue where to start :-).

But with this info, neither do I. What's a Chapstick? What is different, why buy it? What is it made of? WHAT QUANTIES IN THE MARKET?

If you want a serious answer from me I need serious input.

Right now it seems you have patented an Idea, not a product. An Idea is worth nothing. That is, unless you are an incredible salesperson...

My suggestion will be to find a way to make a prototype and then try and license the product to companies that deal with cosmetics, like the Guthy-Renker thing suggested in the book.
I think, trying to create a product with possible retail distribution, marketing, etc, is going to be too big of a fish for anyone to fry.
I don't see huge demand for such a product (unless you have done your marketing research) existing already, more likely a demand has to be created. You won't be able to price this anymore than $1-2 and selling this yourself would be close to impossible. Licensing is the best option in my opinion. You will get a commission, while letting others with more resources worry about market penetration, distribution, advertising, etc.
Good luck.
